    Hi Shashi,
I think your blog is a great idea. I found the content engrossing. One thing I have noticed while interacting with my son’s friends, right from school to the present, is the lack of exposure to current trends and thoughts outside of their immediate domains. I blame this on a few things -

    1. Sticking to information available in Malayalam only.
    2. Lack of parental guidance, (they tend to repeat what other parents parrot and this carries on in infinite loops)
    3. The absence of professional vocational guidance (most don't even know what that means)
    4. Teaching staff that don't stay updated and many more...

And yet, most kids are quite smart. Most are better versed in current affairs and politics than their contemporaries elsewhere.

Your blog, from first glance, will help plug quite a few gaps in knowledge base and attitudes. That is, if they sit and read it. It seems to be well constructed and well written.
Your buddy Sriram too is impressively qualified. I am sure that this blog will help many out there.

    Dear Shashi,
Congratulations on the good work begun. We can never overdo goodness in our country, especially when it comes to guiding or mentoring kids who are lost primarily due to information overload and the hype these MBA institutions make, more to cover up their own deficiencies!

Sadly for most of us a degree, be it in engineering or management, becomes an essential entry pass. Once you are eligible all one looks for is confidence, positive attitude, energy levels and above all, common sense!

You are doing a yeoman service to the young students and if they do not trust and believe guys like you and Sriram they do not deserve to be placed anywhere!

Keep up the good work and build it up to ensure that you have a viable model with CSR built into it!

All the very best to you.

    Dear Shashi,

I have just been through the whole mail & links provided. I found it quite simple & without any jargon or high flying English. It is a good beginning.

I felt the purpose or the Aim though mentioned should come out as a BOLDER statement so that the person reading it knows what he is going to find in this Blog.

    Otherwise it is good.

    Regards,

    AK

  5. Dear Gp Cptn Shashi Nair & Mr. Sriram:

I think this is a very great initiative. Most of the industry professionals agree with what you are saying. However the student perspective remains what it is.

There is a much mistaken notion that a BE or an MBA is an end in itself - this does not much satisfy the ultimate consumer of this talent - the industry.

What needs is the concerted grooming that is much missing and also the missing academia-industry interaction which remains to be a lip service. Also there are many so called mentoring services that give out positive strokes and the so called positive attitudes - failing the student community miserably.

Kudos on your effort! and would love to continue to support you!
